The Princeton Analytical GUARD column system (holder and cartridge) conveniently attaches to any HPLC column.
The use of a PrincetonGUARD system will not alter the performance of the HPLC column.
It will extend the lifetime of your column, especially with samples that are known to have irreversibly adsorbed components.

Princeton Analytical GUARD cartridges (package of five) can be prepared with the same lot of packing material that is in the analytical column.
However, most reverse phase applications will work equally well with C-18, C-8 or C-4 packing material of the same particle size in the cartridge.
The cartridge should be replaced when the column pressure increases, or when the chromatography starts to degrade.
