Filtration is a necessary component in any HPLC system. Keeping particulates out of the flowpath prevents premature wear on vital components, wear that could lead to costly replacement or repairs.An holistic approach to filtration, addressing potential particulates throughout the solvent flowpath, leads to a consistently and efficiently operating chromatograph. Ideally, there are four critical areas where filtration is necessary.
  OPTI-SOLV® Reservoir Filters

If you want to keep particulates out of your system, and we are sure you do, you need to start at the most basic level - the reservoir bottle. OPTI-SOLV® Reservoir Filters employ a unique conical design inside the filter housing preventing air bubbles from getting trapped and disturbing your analysis.

A solid Teflon body keeps OPTI-SOLV® in the bottom of the bottle where a bottom-mounted titanium frit provides unrestricted solvent access. As always, Optimize makes installation as simple as possible - no tools or fittings required.
  OPTI-SOLV® In-Line Solvent Filters


In HPLC, the removal of particulate matter from the flow path is essential for proper operation of the instrument and for protection of vital and expensive components. The OPTI-SOLV® In-Line Solvent Filter was designed to protect your HPLC system from foreign particles, helping you to minimize system downtime and operating costs.

Pre-Column Filters

Incompatibilities between sample matrix and mobile phase, septa coring from the sample needle, and shedding from moving parts in the injector: these all contribute to particulates in the region post-injector. Use of a low-impact, pre-column filter removes these particulates from the flowpath, saving your analytical column and detector from deleterious effects.

Ultra High Pressure Pre-Column Filters

The NEW OPTI-SOLV® EXP™ Pre-Column Filtration system is Optimize Tech's latest innovative product to protect columns with small particle size materials employing ultra high pressure techniques. Such techniques analyze demanding samples in the most demanding applications, which can cut short the life of these expensive columns. EXP Pre-Column Filters help extend that life and protect your column investment, without sacrificing performance.
