SCAT Safety Caps V2.0
SCAT safety caps V2.0 block solvent vapours and keep your eluents clean. They protect your health, the environment and the quality of your analysis. The mixing ratio of your solvents stays stable, as there is no evaporation. SCAT safety caps used in combination with SCAT lab bottles are the original solution for the safe handling of solvents in HPLC.
SCAT safety caps are available in the following versions:
Standard - GL45 thread cap available with different connectors
Preparative - larger tubing connectors for use in prep LC
Shut-off valve - prevents air pockets in the tubing and are ideal for when performing repairs on HPLC systems
Angled - useful for when space is limited as connectors are on the side
Special sizes - connect to bottles with other thread sizes without decanting or using thread adapters
Each safety cap is supplied with an air valve. Since the filter membrane absorbs contaminants from the surrounding air, it is necessary that the valve be replaced every 6 months in order to ensure flawless operation.
