The Volatile Organics Kit is designed to reduce the vapor pressure build-up that occurs in the spray chamber when analyzing high vapor pressure organic solutions by ICP-OES. High vapor pressures can destabilize the plasma and can lead to signal loss. The kit includes a water-cooled, double-pass glass cyclonic spray chamber, with mounting bracket, one-piece quartz torch with 0.8 mm ID injector and a tubing kit. It is ideal for analyses such as determining trace metals in gasoline and naptha. The cooled spray chamber requires the use of a water cooler not included in the kit. The AGM-1 oxygen addition accessory may also be recommended for some organic analyses.
