Thermo Scientific Vial Inserts
Inserts from Thermo Scientific
Thermo Scientific autosampler vial inserts are made of clear glass or polypropylene and available in a variety of configurations for use with HPLC or GC autosampler vials. Usable volumes range from 125 µL to 800 µL. Where levels of inorganic ions have to be kept to an absolute minimum the use of plastics may be preferred to the more conventional glass.
Choose from Thermo Scientific National and Thermo Scientific Chromacol brands.
Thermo Scientific vial inserts come in various capacities and materials and are designed to be placed inside autosampler vials to maximize injection volume. Vial inserts can be placed inside Thermo Scientific screw vials, crimp vials, and snap vials so they can be used in conventional autosampler racks.
Within the SureSTART range vial inserts can be classified as either polyspring, conical, or flat bottom. The smaller diameter of the insert gives better sample recovery than a routine flat based vial, with conical inserts being most effective with residual volumes of 1 – 2 µL. Many are held in place by a polyspring, which cushions and centres the insert.
Choose from Performance Level 2 for high through-put applications, or Performance Level 3 for reproducible results for your most demanding analyses.
- Standard opening vials require inserts with a diameter of 5 mm
- Wide neck opening vials require inserts with a diameter of 6 mm
- Available silanized (deactivated) for optimal recovery of critical polar, labile or OH-interacting compounds
- Polyspring inserts are self-aligning and provide a cushion against needle contact
- Precision point insert minimizes residual sample loss
- Pulled point inserts are an economical choice for noncritical applications
