Element has been operating as a CoVID-19 secure workplace throughout 2020 and does not anticipate any disruption in our ability to support our clients. We are following government guidance to ensure we minimise the risk of infection in the organisation, mitigate impact to our clients and ensure continuity of supply.
Our leadership team meets daily to determine the best way to ensure business continuity, while supporting our employees and their families through this uncertain time.
We hope you, your colleagues and families stay safe and well.
Element is a key supplier to the NHS and pharmaceutical manufacturing supply chain. Consequently, robust plans have been put in place to ensure Element’s supply chain and keep our personnel safe.
Element is very much open for business.
All staff who are able to do so are now working from home, we have cancelled all non-essential travel, and have implemented self-isolation if anyone exhibits symptoms. We have, and are, minimising social contact to ensure that products can be accepted into our warehouse and subsequently dispatched to our customers and have put renewed focus on office and personal hygiene.
Element is in contact with our suppliers who have given us their assurance of product manufacture and onward supply by also adopting the government guidelines to minimise transmission risk.
The management team are monitoring the supply and personnel situation daily and are reviewing and implementing any new government recommendations relevant to our business.
Currently, there are the adequate UK and global stock levels for the products we supply. Element has increased stock levels here in the UK from six weeks to twelve weeks’ worth, as a precautionary measure.
We continue to advise all customers to increase their own stock levels of business-critical chromatography columns and consumables if they have concerns regarding availability during the Coronavirus CoVID-19 situation.
