Gilson ASPEC 274
The Gilson ASPEC 274 system is an automated positive pressure solid phase extraction (SPE) platform designed for high-throughput laboratories requiring parallel sample processing. A four-probe Z-arm enables up to four samples to be processed simultaneously, increasing throughput while maintaining a compact footprint. The system is compatible with 1, 3, and 6 mL SPE cartridges and is intended for routine and demanding SPE workflows in clinical, forensic, doping, food, and environmental testing laboratories.
Reproducibility is supported through positive pressure extraction and a sealing cap design that ensures uniform flow between samples, while the syringe pump provides accurate and controlled liquid dispensing. Mobile rack technology allows multiple fraction elution, sequential extractions from a single sample, and additional post-SPE transfer steps within the same method. Pressure monitoring on each fluid path enables detection of high backpressure or blockages, and integrated jet wash rinse stations help minimise carryover and cross-contamination. Operation is managed via TRILUTION software, supporting batch or sequential processing, parallel solvent testing, and flexible method development for SPE and liquid–liquid extraction (LLE).
