Avantor® ACE® HILIC-A HPLC columns have been designed specifically for HILIC applications and are especially useful for the separation of polar analytes. The HILIC-A stationary phase is a proprietary silica with an acidic character with an ionisable negative surface charge depending on the mobile phase pH.
The ACE HILIC-A columns form part of a range of three proprietary HILIC phases (HILIC-A, HILIC-B, and HILIC-N) with alternative selectivity to each other. Using a screening approach to method development it is easy to achieve reproducible and successful HILIC separations of polar molecules.
