The Porvair Sciences Microlute® CP SPE Plates are 96-well solid phase extraction (SPE) plates featuring composite polymeric technology to deliver reproducible, high-quality sample preparation. Unlike loose-packed SPE plates, the Microlute® CP format uses a porous plastic structure with embedded chromatographic media, ensuring uniform liquid flow across every well. This controlled flow improves analyte recovery, reduces variability, and provides low relative standard deviations (RSDs), making it ideal for high-throughput laboratories requiring reliable, consistent results.
Available in 2 mg and 10 mg bed weights, these SPE plates feature optimised resin distribution to support efficient contaminant removal and reliable analyte capture. With multiple chemistries available – including Hydrophilic–Lipophilic Balance (HLB), mixed-mode strong anion exchange (SAX), and mixed-mode strong cation exchange (SCX) – Microlute® CP plates support the extraction of a wide range of polar, non-polar, acidic, and basic compounds. This versatility makes these solid phase extraction plates well-suited for diverse analytical applications where consistency and reproducibility are essential.
Features
- Composite Technology – Porous polymeric structure with immobilised chromatographic media for controlled and consistent sample flow
- Uniform Well-to-Well Flow – Reduces variability and ensures reproducible analyte recovery across all 96 wells
- Rigid and Inert Design – Sintered porous plastic provides a stable, durable foundation for solid phase extraction
- Embedded Resins – Even distribution of active media enhances interaction with analytes for efficient capture
- Hydrophilic–Lipophilic Balance (HLB) – Broad compound retention, suitable for polar, moderately polar, and non-polar analytes
- Strong Anion Exchange (SAX) – Combines quaternary amine functional group optimised for weak acids (pKa > 3) with reversed phase
- Strong Cation Exchange (SCX) – Combines cation exchange and reversed phase for weak bases (pKa < 11)
- Workflow Efficiency – Lower solvent use, faster processing, and improved reproducibility in SPE workflows
- Silica-Based Option – Also available as Microlute® CSi with C18 or ion exchange (SAX and SCX) phases
