Altura HPLC columns from Agilent represent a new generation of inert liquid chromatography hardware, designed to address the persistent challenges of metal–analyte interactions in conventional stainless steel systems. Incorporating Agilent’s proprietary Ultra Inert technology, the column hardware provides a fully deactivated, inert flow path while retaining the mechanical strength and pressure tolerance of stainless steel. This ensures minimal adsorption, reduced peak tailing, and superior sensitivity for metal-sensitive analytes such as oligonucleotides. With rapid equilibration and exceptional reproducibility, Altura columns deliver high-quality, reliable results across LC and LC-MS workflows.
The Altura Oligo HPH-C18 is a dedicated oligonucleotide HPLC column, combining Ultra Inert technology with a high-pH-stable reversed-phase C18 chemistry. Built on the same proven media as Agilent’s AdvanceBio Oligonucleotide columns, it employs a superficially porous 2.7 µm particle with 120 Å pore size for high efficiency and excellent mass transfer. Operating reliably from pH 3–11 and up to 65 °C, it is ideal for ion-pair reversed phase separations in LC/MS workflows. Designed for oligonucleotide therapeutic impurity analysis and mRNA mapping, it delivers superior recovery, sharper peaks, and enhanced signal response without the need for chelating agents or passivation. The Altura Oligo HPH-C18 provides reproducible, high-sensitivity results for complex oligonucleotide and biomolecular analyses, ensuring confidence in every separation.
