Agilent DB-ALC GC Columns
Agilent J&W DB-ALC1 and DB-ALC2 analytical columns enable two minute blood alcohol content analysis, reducing run time by one third compared to other blood alcohol analysis columns. Due to its unique polarity, DB-ALC2 also provides better resolution of key ethanol/acetone peaks than other available blood alcohol confirmation columns. These columns are suitable for both headspace analysis and direct injections.
- Reliable blood alcohol analysis
- Optimised primary and confirmation column pair for U.S. blood alcohol analysis
- Faster GC run times
- Improved resolution of key ethanol/acetone peaks
- Bonded and cross-linked
- DB-ALC1 and DB-ALC2 columns are regularly used in sets. Connect them together easily with an Agilent Ultra Inert, universal press fit Y-splitter (5190-6980), or an UltiMetal Plus deactivated CFT un-purged splitter (G3184-60065)
- Tested with the tightest industry QC specifications for column bleed, sensitivity, and efficiency

A 7 inch cage is the most common GC column format, compatible with Agilent 5890, 6890, 7820, 7890, 8860, and 8890 series GC systems, and all non-Agilent GC systems with a similarly sized oven. The 5 inch cage format is designed for smaller GC ovens e.g. for the Agilent GC 6850.
DB-ALC Intuvo GC Columns with Smart Key are also available, which are specifically designed for use with the Intuvo 9000 GC instrument.
