Agilent GS-Alumina PLOT GC Columns

Agilent J&W GS-Alumina is the most polar alumina phase. The phase consists of aluminum oxide with proprietary deactivation. GC-Alumina is an excellent general use column for light hydrocarbon analysis, with C1 – C8 hydrocarbon isomers. Alumina columns have a tendency to adsorb water and CO2 which, over time, result in changes in retention time. Agilent uses an advanced, proprietary deactivation process that allows for rapid regeneration, and so fully moisture saturated GS-Alumina columns regenerate completely within 7 hours or less at 200°C.

Agilent J&W GS-Alumina KCI is the least polar PLOT alumina phase and is made from aluminum oxide, with proprietary deactivation. GS Alumina KCI is a good choice for light hydrocarbon analysis.

GS-Alumina GC Columns

  • Most "polar" Alumina phase
  • Aluminum oxide with proprietary deactivation
  • Excellent general use column for light hydrocarbon analysis: C1 – C8 hydrocarbon isomers
  • Separates C1 – C4 saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons
  • Best for resolving cyclopropane from propylene
  • Faster, more efficient and provides more sensitivity than packed equivalents
  • Preferred substitution for sodium sulfate deactivated Alumina because of its regnerative nature
  • Minimal conditioning time required

Alumina columns have a tendency to adsorb water and CO2 which, over time, results in changes in retention time. We use an advanced, proprietary deactivation process which allows for rapid regeneration. Fully water saturated GS-Alumina columns regenerate in 7 hours or less at 200°C.

GS-Alumina KCl GC Columns

  • Least "polar" Alumina phase
  • Aluminum oxide deactivated with KCl
  • Good choice for light hydrocarbon analysis
  • Good resolution of propadiene and butadiene from ethylene and propylene streams

Similar Phases: Al2O3/KCl, Al2O3/Na2SO4, Rt-Alumina PLOT, Alumina PLOT, AB-PLOT Al2O3 KCl, AT-Alumina
