Agilent DB-VRX GC Columns
Agilent J&W DB-VRX GC columns feature unique selectivity, engineered for optimum resolution of volatiles. These low polarity columns deliver excellent peak shapes and are fully compliant with U.S. EPA methods 502.2, 524.2, and 8260. They are bonded and cross-linked, and require no subambient cooling to resolve the six 'gases'. DB-VRX features an operating temperature range of –20 to 260°C.
- Low polarity
- Unique selectivity engineered for optimum resolution of volatiles analysis: U.S. EPA Methods 502.2, 524.2 and 8260
- 0.45mm ID columns provide more plates per meter compared to 0.53mm ID columns for the fewest co-elutions for GC method (an industry first)*
- No subambient cooling required to resolve the six "gases"
- Fast run time:
< 30 minutes for optimum sample throughput
< 8 minutes with 0.18mm ID - Excellent peak shape
- Bonded and cross-linked
- Solvent rinsable
- Each Agilent J&W GC column is tested with the tightest industry QC specifications for column bleed, sensitivity, and efficiency to provide you utmost confidence in qualitative and quantitative results

*Two co-elutions: 1) m- and p-xylene, for which U.S. EPA does not require separation, and 2) 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane and o-xylene which are separated by detectors PID and ELCD, respectively. Note to GC/MS analysts: These co-eluting compounds have different primary characteristic ions of 83 and 106, respectively.
