Agilent J&W CP-Wax 52 CB GC columns have a high-polarity polyethylene glycol (PEG) phase with a wider temperature range than non-bonded PEG columns, due to extensive cross-linking. This column delivers higher resolution of low boiling point analytes, with guaranteed reproducibility and excellent temperature stability, and is ideal for EPA and ASTM methods that require PEG columns.
The improved line of CP-Wax 52 CB columns utilises the same innovative inert processes employed in the manufacture of DB-WAX Ultra Inert columns. These columns have an extended inertness lifetime that withstands repeated temperature cycling to the upper temperature limits of the column, while critical performance parameters such as selectivity, theoretical plates, and retention indices remain unchanged.
Also available in UltiMetal material: CP-Wax 52 CB UltiMetal (recommended for working in rugged environments with process or portable instruments).
The CP-Wax 52 CB column phase is also available in columns designed for Intuvo 9000 GC systems.

A 7 inch cage is the most common GC column format, compatible with Agilent 5890, 6890, 7820, 7890, 8860, and 8890 series GC systems, and all non-Agilent GC systems with a similarly sized oven. The 5 inch cage format is designed for smaller GC ovens e.g. for the Agilent GC 6850.
