Agilent Polaris C8-Ether HPLC Columns
Agilent Polaris C8-Ether HPLC columns are endcapped with an ether group to create a more polar surface for selectivity variation. The C8-Ether phase offers reduced retention of hydrophobic compounds compared to the Polaris C18-Ether column. The novel polar modified bonding technology maximises polar retention and prevents phase collapse when using aqueous mobile phases. Manufactured with ultra-high purity silica to minimise silanol activity in either 3 µm for higher resolution HPLC methods, or 5 µm for traditional HPLC applications.
- C8 stationary phase with ether endcapping
- Reduced retention of hydrophobic analytes compared to Polaris C18-Ether
- Compatible with 100% aqueous mobile phase
- USP designation of L7
- MetaGuards connect directly to the analytical column – no additional holder is required
- Polaris range also includes C8-A for alternative selectivity, and C18-Ether for increased retention of hydrophobic compounds
