Shodex Anion Exchange HPLC Columns
Shodex anion exchange HPLC columns have either strong or weak functional groups and are suitable for the separation of large biomolecules such as proteins, peptides, DNA, and RNA. Three different polymer-based anion exchange columns are available.
- EC QA-825 has a strong quaternary ammonium group and is suitable for analysing relatively high molecular weight compounds.
- IEC DEAE-825 has a weak diethylaminoethyl group and is suitable for the separation of acidic proteins because the pKa of the ion exchanger is about 7.8.
- Asahipak ES-502N 7C also has a weak diethylaminoethyl group but with polyvinyl alcohol as the base material to offers a different separation pattern to IEC DEAE-825.
- Suitable for analyzing relatively high molecular weight compounds: proteins, peptides, DNA, and RNA
- Wide pH range of pH 2 to 12
- IEC QA-825 has a strong anion exchange resin with a quaternary ammonium functional group
- IEC QA-825 meets USP L23 requirements
- IEC DEAE-825 and Asahipak ES-502N have a weak anion exchange resin with a diethylaminoethyl (DEAE) functional group
- IEC DEAE-825is made with polyhydroxy-methacrylate gel, and Asahipak ES-502N is made with Polyvinyl alcohol for different selectivity
