Thermo Scientific Acclaim Mixed-Mode WAX-1 HPLC Columns
Thermo Scientific Acclaim Mixed-Mode WAX-1 HPLC columns provide powerful selectivity control for the separation of anionic molecules. The silica-based stationary phase features a hydrophobic alkyl chain with an ionizable terminus that provides both hydrophobic reversed-phase and weak anion-exchange properties. This unique chemistry produces a multimode separation mechanism for simultaneous separation of acidic, basic, and neutral molecules. The selectivity is fully adjustable through changes to ionic strength, pH, or organic solvent content.
- Multi-mode retention mechanism: reversed-phase, weak anion-exchange, and HILIC modes
- Stationary phase has hydrophobic alkyl chain with an anion terminus
- Selectivity orthogonal to reversed-phase columns
- Powerful selectivity for the separation of difficult mixtures of neutral and anionic analytes
- Differentiation of molecules with similar hydrophobicities, such as hydrophilic organic acids
- Excellent column efficiency and peak symmetry
- Stable between pH 2.5 and 7.5
- Available in 3 µm and 5 μm particle sizes with an average pore diameter of 120 Å
- USP classification of L78
- Range also includes Acclaim Mixed-Mode WCX-1 (reversed phase and weak cation exchange) and Acclaim Mixed-Mode HILIC-1 (reversed phase and HILIC)
